The purpose of the NALC is to insure the continuing line of certified purebred Louisiana Catahoulas through supervised programs of breeding and registration and to preservation a unique part of Louisiana Heritage in recognizing the Louisiana Catahoula as the only breed of dog which historically orignated in the State of Louisiana

The american Catahoula Asscociation is a non-profit organization dedicated to uniting owners and breeders of the registered Catahoula Leopard Dogs

The ACA is not a registry. The Association strives to promote and maintain the conformation and working ability of the registered Catahoula through shows, clinics, trials and testing
